Polymer Science offers a number of general purpose single coated film tapes. Our most popular products are low-tack acrylic adhesive on polyester film tapes. Pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive (PSA) is applied to a polyester carrier creating a durable and economical tape. In general, polyester is thin, resists tearing and easily contours to surfaces. Low-tack acrylic adhesive reduces stress on substrates during manufacturing and material handling. Polymer Science offers four primary single coated film tapes for general purposes. Low-tack acrylic adhesive and removable low-tack acrylic options are beneficial for fragile surfaces like electronics and housings. As a carrier tape or insulative wrapping, removable low-tack acrylic tape ensures a residue-free, low removal force release.
