P-DERM® Non-Adhesive Films
Polymer Science offers Polyether Polyurethane and Silicone Elastomers on a variety of removable paper or polymeric carriers. These films are waterproof, but permeable to moisture vapor and gasses. Films are flexible and conform to the body and wound sites. Non-adhesive films of varying thicknesses are converter friendly and generally offer good dimensional stability. Applications include covering lacerations, abrasions and burns.
Polymer Science P-DERM® films benefit many applications that do not require adhesives. These films provides a barrier to protect compromised skin from bacteria, moisture and friction when adhesion is not required or preferred. Available in a range of thicknesses and durometer ratings, polyurethane and silicone films with a removable carrier are durable, yet gentle on the skin. These films are exceptionally thin with cast polyurethane and silicone elastomer films ranging from 25 micron to 100 micron thickness and blown films ranging from 50 micron to 250 micron thickness.

Dressings
P-DERM® films provide a barrier between skin and contaminants including bacteria and viruses. These films are moisture vapor permeable and waterproof. Polymer Science’s non-adhesive films may be found in dressings for pressure ulcers and surgical wounds where adhesion is not required.
